New Heat Pump Installation

Looking to cut energy bills and eliminate gas tariffs, this Penrith customer chose to replace their gas hot water system with a Rheem AmbiHeat Heat Pump. With no other gas appliances, the switch made sense both economically and environmentally.

We disconnected the gas supply, removed the old unit, and installed the new heat pump system. The heat pump will now use the household’s rooftop solar to help power the system.

Why switch to a heat pump? Heat pumps are up to 65% more efficient than traditional electric systems. They use ambient air to heat water, making them a smart option for solar-powered homes and reducing carbon emissions significantly.

Electric Hot Water System Replacement

A leaking Aquamax system prompted this Penrith customer to call. On inspection, the tank had corroded beyond repair. We replaced it with a reliable Vulcan 315L electric hot water system, ideal for larger families.

We reused most of the existing pipework, keeping costs down. A new tempering valve was fitted to meet current regulations, and the system was elevated on pavers to prevent moisture damage.

Tempering Valve Replacement

This Penrith customer reported unreliable hot water and temperature fluctuations. On inspection, we found the tempering valve on their Rheem Stellar gas system had failed. We replaced it on the spot and ran a full diagnostic to ensure all components were working correctly.

What does a tempering valve do? It mixes hot and cold water to deliver a safe temperature to taps and showers, helping prevent scalding and improving system efficiency.

Solahart Solar Hot Water Repair

A customer called us when their Solahart Streamline system stopped producing hot water. Our Western Sydney solar hot water specialist, John, diagnosed the issue as a faulty Rheem Salmson pump – a common failure point in older systems. With a replacement part ready in the truck, the job was completed within an hour.

John also replaced the TPR valve for compliance and conducted a full system check, ensuring everything else was running smoothly. We advised the customer to switch from Off-Peak 1 to Off-Peak 2 to improve efficiency during winter.
